Forza Horizon 6 has officially dropped, taking the racing festival to the neon-lit streets of Tokyo and the sweeping mountain roads of Japan. With a massive roster of over 550 cars at launch, the game gives you plenty of ways to burn rubber. But if you want to build a massive credit balance and fill your garage with rare hypercars, you need to understand Car Mastery.

Every single car in the game has its own unique Car Mastery skill tree. By spending Skill Points, you unlock perks that grant massive XP, hidden cars, and those highly coveted Super Wheelspins.

Here is exactly how to farm Skill Points quickly and spend them efficiently to maximize your progression.

1. The Strategy: How to Farm Skill Points Fast
You can’t utilize Car Mastery without Skill Points. You earn 1 Skill Point for every 50,000 skill score you bank during a skill chain, up to a maximum of 10 Skill Points per chain (500,000 total score). Going over 500,000 in a single chain is a waste of time.

To speed this up, your target should be a car with a 7x Skill Multiplier perk in its mastery tree (standard cars max out at 5x). High-tier drift cars or Hoonigan vehicles are perfect for this.

The Best Farming Location
Forget narrow city alleys. Head straight out to the open country terrain, wide-open flower fields, or the mountain highlands near Mount Fuji.

Combine constant drifting, smashing into small bushes (Wreckage), and catching air over ridges (Air skills).

With a 7x multiplier car, you only need a base score of roughly 71,400 before the multiplier bumps you to the 500,000 cap.

This can easily be done in under 90 seconds, securing you 10 Skill Points per run.

2. Efficient Allocation: Where to Spend Your Points
Not all Car Mastery trees are created equal. Dumping points into a car you only drive once is a bad investment. Instead, categorize your cars and prioritize your points.

The "Daily Drivers" & Farming Cars
For the 2 or 3 cars you actually use to cruise Japan or farm points, max out the tree. Prioritize:

Extra Life Perks: This protects your skill chain from breaking on the first collision. It saves you from losing a 400,000-point chain because of a rogue traffic car.

Multiplier Boosts: Perks that make your drift or speed multipliers build up 2x faster.

The "Wheelspin Burners" (The Real Money Maker)
The most efficient way to get rich in Forza Horizon 6 is to look at your garage as a collection of piggy banks. Many cheap or mid-tier cars contain a Super Wheelspin or a massive Credit Bonus (e.g., 50,000 to 200,000 CR) hidden just 3 to 5 nodes deep in their skill trees.

Instead of fully upgrading one car, pull out a random car from your garage, spend 6 to 11 Skill Points to grab its hidden Super Wheelspin, and then swap to the next car.

3. The Math: Analyzing the ROI
Let's look at the numbers to see why this method dominates standard race grinding.

Suppose you spend 15 minutes farming 100 Skill Points using the drift method.

100 Skill Points / 10 Points per average tree = 10 Super Wheelspins unlocked
A single Super Wheelspin yields 3 rewards, which can range from rare cars worth millions to direct cash drops. Statistically, 10 Super Wheelspins will easily yield over 1,000,000 CR in cash and assets.

By comparison, running a standard 3-minute sprint race on average difficulty yields roughly 20,000 to 30,000 CR. To make 1,000,000 CR purely from racing, you would have to drive for over an hour and a half. Car Mastery cuts that time down by 80%.

4. Unlocking Hidden "Skill Tree" Cars
Do not blindly sell or gift your duplicate cars before checking their mastery paths. Forza Horizon 6 hides incredibly rare, exclusive vehicles inside the skill trees of otherwise ordinary cars.

For example, just like in previous games, buying a specific classic model and tracking down the top-right node of its mastery tree can unlock a completely different, high-performance variant that cannot be bought in the standard Autoshow. Always look out for the car icon inside the mastery grid.

5. Balancing the Grind with External Options
While farming points is highly effective, it takes dedicated time. If you want to bypass the repetitive drift sessions to instantly grab the exact upgrades, rare collectibles, or hard-to-find vehicles you want, you can opt to use third-party platforms. Using a trusted marketplace like U4N allows you to safely buy forza horizon 6 items, saving you dozens of hours of menus and skill-chain farming so you can get straight to racing across Tokyo with the ultimate setup.

Summary Checklist for Maximum Efficiency
Stop at 500k: Bank your skill chain as soon as the total hits 500,000 to avoid wasting extra points.

Get an Extra Life: Always unlock the collision shield perk on your primary farming vehicles first.

Hunt for Super Wheelspins: Browse through your reward cars, unlock their cheap Wheelspin nodes, and move on.

Check for Hidden Cars: Look closely at legacy and classic vehicle trees to ensure you aren't sitting on a secret hypercar unlock.
