對於喜歡靈活控制吸菸節奏的使用者來說，IQOS ILUMA i PRIME 的 Pause Mode 暫停功能是一大亮點。使用者只需在觸控屏由下而上輕掃，加熱菸主機便會重新加熱，輕鬆恢復吸菸。進入暫停模式時，螢幕中央的四顆燈全亮，暫停最長可維持 8 分鐘，橢圓形燈格會隨時間倒數，清楚提醒使用者剩餘暫停時間。

然而，台灣用戶需注意，依據 2023 年修正《菸害防制法》，加熱菸尚需健康風險評估核定才能合法販售，目前TEREA 煙彈尚未取得台灣核可，旅客攜帶入境屬違法行為，違者最高可罰 500 萬元。
